Competitive Rivalry between Existing Players
In this case study, the traditional competitors for iPad are television, printed media (newspapers, books, and magazines), cell phones, radio broadcasting, movie distributor’s web sites, Photography creation Medias, music creators and distributors, kindle readers, ringing tones composers and other distributors via web sites.
The main objective of introducing iPad is to provide all of technologies in a central place. The watching television has been become a common trend among other service and content providers. When considering the two devices television and the iPad, the iPad has more competitive advantage than the television distributors, reading or the printed media plays. It plays a vital role in the process of communication globally. Using iPad is an easy way to access news sources online. Therefore, it is not required to waste time to visit to a book shop and spend money to buy them for reading. This will be drastically affected to the new paper publishers.
The same will be affected to other existing competitors as well.
Threat of New Entrants
For any market, entering new industry brings a new competitive environment and a capacity to the existing industry. Therefore, to minimize the effect the existing competitors happen to share the market space with new comers. The risk of the entering to the industry depends on the barriers and reaction by the existing competitors within the industry.
As far as the iPad is concerned, it contains facilities such as Wi- Fi Internet connection, high speed cellular networks, and over 250,000 applications available on Apple’s App Store which can be used to watch to video, music, text, social networking applications and video games. In addition to that it provides features such as dictionary, glossary, quizzes, page numbers, a search function, and high-quality images.
There are mobile business users who require high efficiency, time saving and ability to use everywhere they go. On the other hand the e‐book readers like Amazon's Kindle and Sony's E‐book reader, are taking the marketplace with some necessary adjustments in the future.

iPad is a sophisticated, full functioning technological device which brings the world to the hand. There is huge impact to the iPad from the buyers because almost all other products also competitively attracted to them.
