Legacy System at HDFC Bank before Flexcube:

On the corporate side HDFC Bank started with Micro Banker and then moved to Flexcube in 2002.

Micro Banker:

• Microbanker is a fully integrated, on-line banking automation system developed and owned by the former Citicorp Information Technology Industries Limited (CITIL) now named OFSS.

• Corporate banking software solution (PC-based open system ) aimed at the automation of small and medium financial institutions.

• Modular and therefore extremely cost-effective, allowing for the addition of specialized modules as the client's demands on the system grow or change over time.

Upgradation from Microbanker to Flexcube:

Microbanker, the corporate-banking software, was joined by Finware, an in-house developed software for retail banking and other products for money market, foreign exchange, and leasing. Flexcube, an end-to-end software product for corporate banking, retail banking, consumer banking, investment banking, internet banking, asset management, and investor servicing, was a hit.

Most MicroBanker customers have chosen FLEXCUBE over any competing solution as part of a natural progression when they have chosen to upgrade from Microbanker.
