There are many ways to go about making a powerpoint presentation. According to Stevensen there are six steps to create a great photo slideshow. Picking pictures, adding the album, make it move, not fade away, sound advice and take note (Stevenson, 2008). The first step of ‘picking pictures’ is about just that, picking pictures. Pick pictures that explain what you are showing your audience. Some pictures will be more for personal presentations and others will be for more business. Move all the pictures that you want to a separate folder and save them there. Next is ‘adding the album’. In powerpoint on the slide select insert pictures. There is the option to select all of the pictures in your folder or one at a time. You can also add video clips, step make it move. Adding video is done the same way adding pictures is, insert and select video. In step ‘Not fade away’, it is the step to add transition effects. Transition effects are the way your slides start and end; how they move on to the next slide. Making sure you pick the correct transition can be beneficial to the whole slideshow. The next step ‘sound advice’ is about adding sound clips or narration to your presentation. Sound can either be the best thing for your slide or the worst thing. The last step is ‘take note’ which is more if you are giving the presentation in person and want notes. The notes are displayed at the bottom of each slide. This step will probably be more for a business situation then it would be for personal.
