Simon Sinek couldn’t be clearer as to why certain people and companies are successful. All in all, you must be a leader, whether a natural, or a nurtured one. There are natural leaders such as the Wright Brothers who believed in something, despite not being educated they were inventors, “because they believed” in an invention. He mentions Martin Luther King who was another inspirational leader, just as Steve Jobs with Apple.

Simon Sinek makes the idea of ‘How’, ‘Why’, and ‘What’ sound so smooth, but before listening to this video probably we hadn’t thought so in depth in the idea of ‘believing’ in what you want and pursuing that goal. The other important and most highlighting point he mentions is the fact that “we follow those who lead not because we have to, but because we want to.” This is so true, because if you want to be a leader you apply this technique, now if you want to be a follower then you will always just follow because you feel you have to and not because you believe; and you do it (believe) to further gain experience and eventually be a leader. This makes you reflect deep in your everyday activities as a professional because we do it for OURSELVES.

The other important marketing strategy he speaks about actually makes you reflect and that it actually is the reality of business. Business is a risk because when you get in it you do not know for sure that you will succeed. You need to be a risk-taker. However, he explains that when you believe, you need to let your consumers believe as well, not because of WHAT you do, but WHY you do it. You need to ‘SELL’ the product to the consumers by explaining that what you do and how you do it, are WHY they need to have it.
