  1. Part 1: Question 1  

  1. Introduction

Leaving your gadgets plugged in, charging all the time can decrease the battery's lifespan. The Innovative Socket in the existing market saves us by cutting off power after a predetermined amount of time.

While many modern gadgets are smart enough to stop sucking power when they're fully charged, we've learned to unplug our gadgets regularly. After all, even Apple recommends users unplug their laptop when it's fully charged. If users would like to recharge their entire gadgets while they are out of house or sleeping, though, unplugging fully-charged gadgets will not be a choice.

  1. Problem Statement

Battery overcharged causing battery lifespan to deteriorate and carries possibility to explode during charging.

  1. Benefits and/or impact if problem is solved

  • Battery lifespan will be preserved.
  • Less explosion accident happened due to overcharged.  
  1. Boundary conditions

  • The battery contains cannot be changed (manufacturer based)
