Recently my sister showed me a video on her phone. In the video there were two situations. The first situation was of a man walking down a footpath looking puzzled. He had a piece of paper in his hand and a confused look on his face. At the same time a woman was walking past him. He stopped her and asked her for directions. She walked him down to where he needed to go. While they were walking they got talking and hit it off right away. Eventually, they married each other and shared their lives together. In her dying days she whispered to him that she was lucky she was stopped by that lost boy in the street. In the second situation it was the same man but this time he had his phone with him. As the woman walked past him he may have still needed to ask for directions but he was so busy looking down at his phone that he didn't even notice her walking past.

His whole life was changed because he didn’t look up, yet he didn't know it. The video didn't show what happened to him after he missed her walking by, but I definitely know that his life wouldn't have been as great as it could've been if he had just looked up.

Do you think your life could be different if you'd just look up? There are a lot of chances that we miss in life because we aren't paying attention. Whether it's an important meeting you missed because you were playing colour switch when the notices were read out or you were too busy focusing on making a new Instagram post when a friend tried to talk to you at the bus stop, whatever it is, we all have missed out on something by just doing a very normal thing, going on our phones.

My point is that our generation spend way too much looking at screens. Cell phones and Playstations are like magnets, they attract us to them. Personally, I would have loved to be a young boy back in the old days, when after school
