Childhood Story

I was five years old, and it was my first day at preschool. The preschool my mother
took me to was five minutes away from the house in Africa, Ghana. I loved the preschool
because of the food and the toys, I loved to play a lot but I didn't like to be bothered by most
people especially older people. I was really small and skinny for my age, I looked different from
other kids in my school so a lot of them liked to play with me try to pick me up but little did they
know that even though I was small I had a strong side in me. Anytime someone tried to pick me
up I would take off my shoe and hit them really hard, I kept hitting until they put me down.
And because I was so quiet, small, and skinny nobody really expected that from me.
A couple years later I went to a french private school for my elementary school year.
Everybody spoke french fluently, but i didn't know a single word in french. Anytime someone
spoke french to me I looked at them like they were stupid and they looked back at me like I
was stupid, I guess we where two stupid people standing there. Since I was around french
speaking people I caught up to the language, I learned how to write and speak french but I was
not really good at it. My mother saw how fast I caught onto french so she decided to enroll my
older sister, Nathalie in the school too, she also wanted us to be better at speaking and writing
in french so she got us a private french tutor. Nathalie and I loved to play a lot. because we
where only a year apart people thought we where twins. Anytime the tutor came to the house
Nathalie and I will be playing outside, as soon as we see the tutor coming we get mad because
we hated learning,
