FEASIBILITY STUDY PRESENTATION

This advises you to submit hard copy of the following:

  1. Picture/s of the researcher (2 X 2, in uniform, white background)
  2. Two (2) copies of the abstract (200 – 250  words)
  3. Two (2) copies of the finished feasibility study

Deadline for submission: 22 February 2016

GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTERS

  1. INFORMATION FOR ORAL PRESENTER

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

  • PowerPoint presentation slides must be presented on February 23, 2016.
  • Each oral presentation will be limited to 15 minutes including questions and answers. The presenters will be reminded of the remaining time during the presentation.
  • After 8 minutes, a ring will be heard to warn or signal the presenter.
  • After 12 minutes, a buzz will be heard to stop the presenter.
  • It is recommended that the author/s present/s for each oral presentation.
  • Presenters must wear BUSINESS ATTIRE in the presentation.
  • Presenters must use English as the medium of communication in the presentation.
  • Presenters must be ready to answer intelligibly answer the questions from the invited critiques.
  • Presenters must bring a sample product (if applicable).
  • Audio/Visual Equipment Available:
  • All computer and projector will be provided for presentations.
  • All PowerPoint presentations must be given through the provided computer and projector. Presentaters CANNOT hook up their own equipment.
  • Windows XP/Windows 7 will be the operating system and PowerPoint 2003/2007 will be the version of software used.

GENERAL POWERPOINT PRESENTATION RECOMMENDATIONS

General Information

  • Be sure to explain and/ordefine any slang terms, acronyms, etc.
  • Slides should NOT HAVE MORE THAN FIVE LINES of information
  • Be aware of time limitations.
  • Evenly space information on the page.
  • Ensure that your speech is not written word-for-word on your PowerPoint.

Colors/Font

  • Use only TRUETYPE FONTS (E.G. TIMES NEW ROMAN, ARIAL)
  • Maintain consistent fonts throughout, using no more than two fonts on one slide.
  • Use TRADITIONAL BULLETS (circles or squares) instead of “fun” bullets.

Depending on the version of PowerPoint used, some bullets may not transfer

  • The background and font color MUST BE EASY TO READ at a distance.
  • The font must be easily read (NO SMALLER THAN 24 POINTS)
  • Headers must be the same font and size throughout the presentation.
  • The body of the slides must be the same font and size throughout the presentation.

Animation

  • Limit animations
  • If using animation, ensure that it is timed and that transitions occur smoothly.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS!

This Feasibility Study Presentation will serve as your major exam and final project. Failure to comply with the requirements of the course will result to an incomplete or failing remarks. Please be guided accordingly.
