I believe that the Industrial Revolution was more helpful than harmful to humanity. The Industrial Revolution provided for the average person as well as the rich and/or "above average", major innovations took place during this time, as well as the improvement of life in transportation with steam power. All of these changes plus several more, are still affect the way we live today. These reasons are why I believe this revolution was worth many of the struggles that occurred.

The first reason why I believe the Industrial Revolution has been good for humanity is the fact that it had such a power impact of the lives of every day and average working people. The working class found more opportunities for employment in all of the factories evolving. Although these new jobs created new and sometimes uncomfortable and sometimes cruel conditions to work in, I believe these struggles weren't in vain. If it weren't for things such as, child labor, long work weeks, etc… labor laws of today and specific working standards wouldn't be in place.

The second reason why I believe that the Industrial Revolution done more good than harm for humanity is because some of the world's best and most useful innovations took place during this time. The textile, agricultural, and iron production was up and greatly affected. The steam power engine was used to help satisfy the need to find faster and more efficient ways to complete daily tasks such as plowing the fields. Now with the new engine power the reliance on animal was no longer there.

The third reason why I believe that the Industrial Revolution has been good for humanity is the effectiveness that steam power had on the nation. Steam powered engines and product was a tremendous help with respect to transportation and helping within the mills and factories.
