Dear Fellow LAHS Student,
Hi, I am Tony Espitia and I have P.E., English Honors 2, Algebra 2, AVID, French 2, World History Honors, and Biology. I am not currently A-G eligible, because I have a D+ in Algebra. I have a 2.85 GPA. Do not do what I did, I did not turn in a lot of homework assignments and never made them up. You can be an AVID student and show your PAWS by just simply following directions and doing what you are suppose to be doing or by just being respectful. What I did to do to do my goal setting is, I look at my 3 lowest grades and see which one I know I can improve more faster. The obstacles that I faced and am still facing is, procrastination. I get really lazy and start going through Snapchat, Instagram, or Tumblr, which is the worst because I can never stop scrolling through my dashboard. What I have been doing lately to stop the distraction with my phone is, I turn it off and get it away from me, like putting it in drawer. I hope that in the future I will have easier classes like culinary arts and/ or photography for my senior year because I am taking all the main A-G classes now. I hope to apply to UC Merced, Cal State Fullerton, University of Hawaii and many others. My favorite AVID memory are the field trips and just being surrounded by people who have the same goals for the future. Just keep in mind that everything you do now, the future, or what you did yesterday that helped you, will positively impact you in the future. Good luck for the next 3 and half years and for the rest of your future.
With all the hope for your bright future,
Tony Espitia
