I was born on the rise of dawn of 30th of August 1993 in the city of Cairo. I still live in Cairo, with my mother and father; I am the youngest of 6 siblings, 3 of which are half brothers from my father side. I am a sophomore student in the American University of Cairo, studying business administration. My father and mother are professors; father is at Suez Canal university a professor of human genetics in Medical School, while my mother is at Helwan University a professor of zoology in Sciences School. My sister is married and works as head of recruitment in human resources department in the National Societe Generale Bank in Egypt; while my brother is a project manager in a translation and software programming company.
My life had been an emotional roller coaster, since I was ten years old I have moved to Riyadh with my mom, during which my sister was still single and staying with my dad and brother in Cairo. I knew what it like is to be lonely and do nothing about it; I remember crying every time I heard my sister’s voice on the phone. She is like a second mother to me; guiding me and I confide in all my secrets to her. I lived in Riyadh for more than 7 years until I had to move back to Cairo for college.
These 7 years shaped me and made me who I am today; I was raised alone with my mother and father, in a country with different culture than of my own and continuously saying goodbye to dear friends I know I will not see again. It made me realize that everything must have an end and never to take anything for granted. I was in Manarat El Riyadh schools where I met my best friends that I have known for four or five years now. It was a great chapter in my life to meet such people and have them around me during hard times.
I love travelling, I feel that I can escape my reality and feel fresh again. First time I have been to a new country was to Turkey in summer 2008, I was amazed by the sightseeing and the food. It was a very hot summer yet came back with the greatest memories. Afterward in November 2008 my dad took me to New York City; which is my favorite place in the world. I felt that I could fit in easily with this diversity of cultures and the pace of the life style there that I cannot imagine and had not seen in any other country. Finally I have been to London that I absolutely loved and never felt homesick in, seeing all the touristic places and life there was an unforgettable experience. I wish to visit so many places because I believe when you see different cultures, they become part of who you are.
