Leaders are “people who can influence the behaviors of others without having to rely on force or people whom others accept as leaders (Griffin 2012.) Furthermore, I believe effective leaders are people who work to use their power and influence for good. Many people are strongly influenced by celebrities, or people who are constantly in the public eye. Therefore, the first person I have chosen is Ellen DeGeneres. The second person I have chosen is one that not many people may have heard of. However, as an inspirational leader and someone who others would label as “limited”, he does a remarkable job of motivating others. His name is Nick Vujicic.

Generous and caring
Passion about people and doing good for others
A lot of times people think it is better to be a leader that is feared than loved. However, Ellen DeGeneres proves that you can be an effective leader who everyone loves. Through her kind heart, passion, and generous nature, she proves to be a great leader who insists on being there for people who may have no one to help them. She came out as one of the first openly gay comedians/talk show hosts, and she continuously shows her support as a gay rights activist. She does everything she can to make a change and make a better world.
