When you first go on eBay, it seems like there is a lot going on but when you take the time to examine the main page it becomes more clear and easy. The navigation bar, which is located at the top of the page, has everything you need to navigate throughout the site. Although items and current auctions are posted on the main page, there is just enough so that the member or prospect does not experience sensory overload. If you have an account with eBay, all the items or current auctions that are exposed to you are fit to match your last purchases, sold items or items that you recently watched or added to your wish list.

Function:

The purpose of eBay is to provide an opportunity for members to buy or sell products through online trading. eBay is linked to PayPal, which is then linked to your bank account. Instructions on purchasing and selling items online are very clear on eBay. Members have many advertising opportunities when selling their products. This creates an opportunity for eBay to advertise their member’s products rather than products from a third-party.
