with reference to the eu discuss the consequences of the grouping of nations
The EU is a grouping of nations in Europe that were neighbours to each other and their alliance was started in 1952 by the original members such as Belgium, France, West Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
Positives for the UK of belonging to the EU, will be first the Free trade for the UK because tariffs and quotas are reduced or abolished on goods between member states, which allows for a larger market. The UK can boost their exports within the EU. The UK’s top export country is Germany because they have exported to them 27, 539 (£m) in a year. Germany is a nation part of the EU so having this Free trade is one good consequence of being part of the EU due to a large market being open to the nations in the group and that leads to businesses increasing their trade and economic status.
A second positive for the UK being a member state in the EU is that there is a freedom of movement for tourists, human rights, employment conditions and anti-discrimination legalisation. Free movement of migrants for labour is a positive consequence for the UK because they can add to the work force such as migrants from Poland migrating to England to do the jobs that the people in the UK would not consider doing. Then UK nationals can migrate to Europe seeking better paid jobs because there is a freedom to move county to country in the EU’s member states.
