Dear Mr. Dodes
Subject: Course of action on the Wedding Dance video
Having closely analyzed the situation and the possible ideas you were toying around with and considering a few parameters such as revenue potential, ease of implementation and the effect on the company reputation, I have framed my view point on the proposed solution.
I believe that the best option here would be to contact the hosts of the video to inform them of the copyright breach and the consequences associated with it. Further the situation must be leveraged to bring the party to the table to discuss and frame a revenue sharing model beneficial to all parties involved.
Yours Sincerely

Executive Summary
The dilemma in this case is based on the course of action Sony should take in light of the information that the song playing in the background of the viral video is their own intellectual property. On one hand, Sony may want to take credit for their song and demand a share in the revenue whereas on the other hand they may wait and pounce on the reputation gains that this may bring to the Chris Brown brand.
The proposed solution here is to notify the owners of the copyright breach and then have extensive discussions to come to an agreement over a revenue sharing model which is beneficial to all the stakeholders.
