Compare and Contrast In the story "Lorax" and in the book Hoot there are many similarities and differences. The book Hoot is by Carl Hiaasen and, story "lorax" by Dr. Seuss. You may know an old, popular TV show called the ‘Lorax' and you may know the Disney movie Hoot. Both story and book are about a brave person trying to speak out about trying to save animals, animals homes, and their environment. There are many similarities and differences but I'll show you the best one's I got. Similarities are hard to find but I'll show you mine. The main similarities is both book and story are trying to save something they care about. In the book hoot the running boy is trying to save owls and the owls homes. In the story "Lorax" the Lorax is trying to save all the animals and the animals homes. The second main idea is that both of their environments are being polluted. In the story 'Lorax" the cars and factories are giving off gas and polluting. In the book Hoot the hotel they are building is making a mess and destroying the owl's homes. It is very important when comparing two books or stories. In the book hoot and story "lorax" they share many differences. One difference is that one is fantasy and the other is non-fiction. The book hoot is fiction because it could be real. The story "Lorax" is fantasy because animals could not talk, drive, or build factories. The second difference is when they destroy the homes of the animals they come out with a product. In the book hoot their destroying the owl's home and building a hotel. In the story "Lorax" he is making useless stuff out of the truffila trees that he keeps cutting down. There are many similarities but you could never forget about differences. The story "Lorax" and book Hoot are very similar. You would have to look very closely to find differences. I found those differences and made them precise.
