- Introduction
To complete our assignment for Business Research and Methods course, we have done an experimental research to know how the reaction of people towards something. In this experimental research we want to know the reaction of students towards a Bean Boozled candy.
What is Bean Boozled?
Bean Boozled is a jelly bean product from Jelly Belly Company. It’s like a bean candy with 10 weird and wild flavors. There are ten colors of candy and the similar color could have a different flavor. [pic 1]

- Objectives of the Experiment
- To know the students’ expression in tasting Bean Boozled
- To know how students’ reaction about tasty or downright crazy of Bean Boozled
- To know how the students’ purchase intension of Bean Boozled

- Participants
Participants in our experimental research are peoples in arround ITB Campus. Not only students in ITB, but also we met students from UPI Bandung and STIKES Budi Luhur when we research in arround ITB Library. But, most of participants is students at ITB.
- Materials
Materials that we use to experimental research is :
- Bean Boozeled candy
Ingredients : Sugar, corn syrup, modified food starch, contains 2% or less of the following: peach puree concentrate, pear juice concentrate, lime juice concentrate, coconut, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, soy lecithin (an emulsifier), cocoa powder, citric acid, lactic acid, sodium citrate, sodium lactate, natural and artificial flavor, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), color added, red 40 lake, blue 2 lake, yellow 5 & 6, red 40, blue 1, blue 1 lake, vegetable and fruit juice (color), beeswax, carnauba wax, confectioner's glaze, tapioca dextrin, salt. In this experimental research, we decided to take an experiment in ITB campus on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 13.30 PM – 16.30 PM.
- Procedures
To do this experimental research, we’ve designed some steps to done. These steps will be conducted each time we took some subject of this experiments. The subject of this experiment are students around ITB campus which we randomly chose. The steps are:

We introduced our-self and our objective to our subjects about the experiment. We wrote down their names, age, faculty/department. Then subjects determine the color which will be tasted.
