"Everybody has an interest in education"-Sir Ken Robinson for TED 2006. What better way to reflect on New Year's Resolution but to reflect on education. Like what the title says, this essay was written two years ago during the hoopla that was the K-12 education. Apparently, the issue became a bigger hoopla because the curriculum will now be implemented this school year.

The K+12 model is for basic and secondary education patterned after United States, Canada, and some parts of Australia.The abbreviation K+12 means kindergarten (K) and the 1st through the 12th grade (1-12). It is an educational system whereby additional years are added to the curriculum. This is an alternative move of the government to make the students more if not fully equipped with knowledge when they reach college level.

K+12 will be an advantage to the pre-college students because this can be a preparation for the when they get to college level.

Graduated K+12 students will be employable but before finishing the K+12 program one must show perseverance, persistence and effort to finish a such good educational attainment.

As a student who values learning to the highest level, education, for me, is very important. But, I do not support the addition of two years in our curriculum because it cost more time and effort and so as money.

From the pre-K-12 scenario of teachers imposing on drills and textbooks to the present, what had changed? None I believe that is truly remarkable but a new name to call a curriculum we have all been following for years. The skeptics have remained skeptical and the teachers who have taught for salary and not for commitment have remained greedy and corrupt. I have even heard the teachers who attended the UBD seminar given instructions never to modify or interpret individually the given syllabus and lesson plans. What happens to the learners? The
