The novel Pride and Prejudice, written by Jane Austen and the movie Titanic, directed by James Cameron are both great love stories. They both are written years ago but up to this date, they are still widely popular extending throughout the world. The stories have many similarities between them but also give a different theme to them. Pride and Prejudice is about a young independent woman named Elizabeth Bennet and a wealthy man, Mr.Darcy. The course of their relationship is ultimately decided when Darcy overcomes his pride, and Elizabeth overcomes her prejudice, leading them to both giving up the love they have for each other. Titanic the movie, on the other hand, is the story of an old woman’s youthful experience a boarding the unsinkable ship, Titanic and falling in love with a young artist named Jack Dawson. She realizes there are no other men than him and ultimately make sacrifices in order to be with him though it ended in a tragedy.

The book Pride and Prejudice is similar to Titanic in quite some ways. The number one is that they both have the setting of a rich person falling in love with another that’s poor which is unacceptable in their set times. The lovers are from different classes, though Elizabeth and Darcy doesn’t make any differences, really. Her mother just wanted her daughters to marry a wealthy man. Jack Dawson is just a drifter and a painter while Rose is a first-class, whose mother has high expectations set on her. But both female characters have little money, Rose had none left since her mother is suffering financial crisis, which is why she was being forced to marry a guy whom she doesn’t love, while Elizabeth’s family grew up having little.. The female characters both had someone interfere with the lovers being together, for Rose it was Cal and her mother, as for Elizabeth, its Mr. Darcy’s aunt. The two females must make a big decision just like in Titanic, Rose sacrificed everything just to be with Jack, but in the end,
