This article is the reflection by reading the chapter 1 to chapter 4 of Wheatley’s book. This reflection involves the ideas that agree with Wheatley’s points and provides some recent experiences to support and supplement those ideas. The orders exist everywhere even in the chaos. Generally, a new order is created by the changes. As a participator, we are not only focused on the opinion’s statement, clarification and the interaction with others for learning and exchanging but also a fully participation with the high motivation and responsibility’s recognition for keeping the consistency to develop together. Furthermore, as an organization, we have to build and maintain a positive network and an environment to support the interacted influence for getting effective results.

Firstly, fluctuations and changes messed up our plan, but in essence, fluctuations and changes is essential for order set up. They can be more effective and positive incentive to stimulate people's innovation and creativity (Wheatley 2006). Sometimes the changes come with the chaos, disassembly and so on (Wheatley 2006). I would very agree with this opinion. For example, with the progress of human society, the progress of each have been accompanied by the revolution. The steam engine was created lead the first industrial revolution that modified the whole structure of English society. At the beginning, the society became chaos, but a lot of innovations continually came out such as water power machines, telegraphy and so on. Since the Industrial Revolution began, the income and productive kept rising. It pushed the society’s development. In an addition, another example from my company, we had an old ERP system that bought from third party four years ago. However, with the company’s development, this old ERP could not satisfy with company needs. Thus, we had decided to abandon this old ERP system to create a new one by ourselves. All the functions in the new ERP system is personal made for my company. The new ERP system are collecting a lot of new ideas from employees that make this ERP stronger and more suitable on the company. This change totally abandons the old one, but it incented the employee’s creativity. Therefore, when there is a change to break our plan, it may be a chance to innovate and to create a new order which are better than the old order’s.

Secondly, it is best to understand the leadership as a kind of behavior, rather than a role (Wheatley 2006). Thus, I would say it is an influence to affect others rather than a right to control and judge. The connection is better than control (Wheatley 2006). For instance, once my classmates and I are trying to finish a cooking assignment. I played a leader role that assigned everyone’s jobs and tried to control every details in my opinions. The result was not good. Firstly, I ignored their own ideas that related to their own motivation, they might do not want to do that job I assigned. Secondly, I tried to judge the ideas with my own knowledge instead of practice that we might lose such good ways. Finally, I paid all my attention on my team that I omit my mother who is a cooking expert we can ask. Thus, it is not good to take people into plan instead of communicating and interacting to practice for find out the most effective way on solving problem. We are narrow our views when we are in a box. Also, a thing makes me interested in chapter two about the interaction with different perspectives. Here is an example on my recent work experiences, we are using agile project models that team will have a meeting frequently to summary and adjust the project process and plan. And every team member is involving the meeting to report the process and having chance to listen and speak. Compare to the old ‘waterfall’ project model we are not fix into a box, we have chance to speak out and make changes. I feel it is better to find out a new and effective way to instead some old ways and to have the quick reactions when we meet the new accident. And also I can learn from others to get together with my own idea to create a new idea that may be better than individual’s. The environment incents me into project. Therefore, keeping everyone’s uniqueness is important to push team forward and to get everyone into and to get everyone interact with will create strong environment for further development. And for creating this strong environment we have to learn to build relationship with others on listening, speaking and respective.
