Smartphones Implication
The change in technology has certainly created its demand in the world today. Technology quickly advances each day to help create connivance in people’s life. Up to this date many people are using their technology as their personal digital assistant. Smartphones are quickly becoming an inner computer and communication device in modern society. Smartphones can be used to make phone calls, text messaging, update contact list, personal calendar and task list. With this technology enhancements, its role as a personal digital assistant will help to create access of electronic email, web pages and Microsoft applications.
I decided to survey 30 random people who owned a cell phone. I asked them each 10 same questions, and most of them agreed on the same answers. Out of the 30 people I surveyed 1 of them did not own a smartphone. I was curious to know why they did not own one. She answered me “ I think they take a lot of your time and I did not want that happening to me” she also added “I am old fashion when it comes to technology.” Which I thought that answer would have been real common for the older crowed. The strange thing was it didn’t really matter the age, I found that most of all ages I surveyed did own smartphones and used them as common as the younger crowed.
Smartphones have become a big source of entertainment. When I asked, “Often use your smartphone while you are waiting in line or not doing anything?” 97% of the people that I asked responded by saying that using their smartphones was a source to pass the time and catch up with things that interested them. Not only did the people use their phone while they did not have anything to do 53% of people answered that they use their smartphone for work 17% was neutral and the last 27% strongly disagreed. Most of the percentage of people used their smartphone because it an easier way to access information. They said, “Smartphones are used easily to schedule appointments or contact clients to organize their day.” Depending on the job you have you might need it more than other jobs.
The great thing about smart phones is that you can access a lot of different things all at ones for example have some music playing in the back round and then have Facebook book loading while you are accessing the Internet. So you can multitask on your phone and have different apps running, so it is convenient for a lot of people. 76% of people strongly agreed that they often are using different types of information on their phone all at once, 17% where neutral, and the last 3% didn’t agree with it at all. “Does your smartphone help you organize your daily schedule?” 40% strongly agrees, 23% neutral, and 33% strongly disagreed. These percentage came pretty close between agree and disagree because half of the people said “Oh, I use my phone for reminders and alarm clocks” that help them organize their day while others might use it for just for texting and phone calls.
