Some baseball players do drugs to increase their performance on the field. Then there are some players who are just really good and they hit home runs like it’s nothing. Mark McGwire was rejected from the Hall of fame because of drug use in 2013 season. The problem with steroids in any sport is very bad, because a lot of people do them. Baseball has long been considered the quintessential American pass time. Most people don’t know but in 2003, David "Boomer" Wells claimed that up to 40% of the MLB players used steroids and he predicted that the percent would go up 10 years from then. When Steroids got popular it started when a Olympic team developed the drug in a response to the Soviet Union’s dominating blow to the U.S. at the Olympic Games. There are plenty of Performance enhancing drugs to help baseball players hit homeruns and run faster it’s not just steroids.
When you take steroids when you are a little kid there are many effects and physical defects. Some effects are mood changes, feeling restless, feeling anxious, and nightmares. There are also many physical defects , some of those defects are cronic headaches , nausea , and bad sleeping disorder.
Baseball players can be removed from the baseball season if they get caught with steriods 3 or more times. this has happpend alot in baseball this also happens alot in Football but in football , they dont get banned they are just out for 4 games, football is to as strict as Baseball is. There are many drugs that can get you kicked out of a sport suck as Clenbuterol , Psychobolan , and Cyronine those are all performance enhancing drugs that can get you banned or kicked from a sport. Steriod use is a major thing in the US its used more here than any other country because it is more available here because some of steriods are over the counter drug not a perscribed drug.
