Running head: ULTRAMAX TESTING PROJECT 2

This case study communicates results and provides information regarding the UltraMAX testing project. It shows how projects experience change over time, which causes the project manager to modify and adapt the project (Devry University, 2011). Alex, the company manager, has asked several questions concerning the initiating of the project, resource considerations, and managing the project. As the questions answered have been categorized in Sections 1, 2, and 3; the project team has outlined specific details about UltraMAX’s deadlines and critical tasks. The data has been manipulated for adjusting the schedule and its resource allocations. And finally, an overview of the project is given, as well as, an adjusted baseline affecting original cost and durations.

Section 1

During the initiation phase of the project, 13 tasks were entered in MS Project along with their durations, predecessors, and resources assigned to the tasks. With the UltraMAX testing project starting on February 22, 2010 and ending on September 1, 2010, the project will take 138 days to complete. There are nine tasks critical to completing the project on time: (1) Identify Target Consumers, (2) Recruit Test Subjects, (3) Screen Test Subjects, (4) Finalize Test Subjects, (5) Prepare Product, (6) Test the Subjects, (7) Input Actual Data into Database, (8) Analyze Actual Data and (9) Prepare Findings Report. The Critical Task (2-paged) Report is noted below.
