Background of the Study:
Vandalism is the behavior attributed originally to the Vandals, by the Romans, in respect of culture: ruthless destruction or spoiling of anything beautiful or venerable. The term also includes criminal damage such as graffiti and defacement directed towards any property without permission of the owner.
Vandalism is a kind of problem that is difficult to stop. It is an intentional abuse, damage or destruction of any position of someone else’s property, common or shared property such as our school facilities. It is usually the result of deliberate act. It can also occurs as a result of neglect act or lack of consideration for the others. Vandalism includes behavior such as; breaking down windows, spraying graffiti in walls, and writing non sense things in different public places. Vandalism is a malicious act and may reflect personal ill will. Vandals need to know their victim in order to commit the act of vandalism. The recklessness of this act may impute both intent and malice.
Presently, Good Shepherd Academy has now facing some rising problem particularly in terms of vandalism in female high school restrooms. Researcher said that, this unstoppable vandalism affect every students life. So then, researcher conduct this study to make analyzation and future plans of action that will help prevent vandalism.
