1. Introduction
Hong Kong tourism is growing continuity. The main reason is business travel. Many foreign countries make their conference in Hong Kong Exhibition Centre. It is because MICE can make high profits. Hong Kong develops MICE through building new facilities. On the other hand, China keeps developing the tourism. China people can travel to Hong Kong freely. So the MICE industry attracts attendants whose come from China. The number is increasing in every year.
According to the report, technology demand is increasing. There are two days conferences about the new booking system for tourism. The two days conferences can update the information about the new booking system to delegates. The two days conferences make information session on management and implementation of the new system. Delegates can gain experience about the new booking system through the conferences.
2. The characteristics of the buyer
Buyer is ambiguous (Davidson and Cope, 2003). In one side, buyer refers to the starter of the meetings events. In other side, buyer is employed by these organizations to select the venues and to plan the meeting events.
According to the conferences, the buyer is the Association of Tourism. It covers a wide range of organizations. There are no profit making, but the association need to pay cost for the conferences. It is more professional. It is also likely to attract a range of delegates who will be funded to varying degrees by their organization. The buyer may offer some booking options and prices to delegates because of their fund abilities. Moreover, the buyer also offers the daily rate and varying price of the booking options.
