I believe one of the biggest challenges that the airline had to deal with was competing against the other airline companies. While Norwegian Air had promising rates, there aircraft wasn’t really up to par, and the town had to many weather issues that delayed a lot of flights. The airline has suffered a series of high-profile technical problems with its Boeing Co. 787 Dreamliners used to launch flights to Asia and the U.S., and now faces lawsuits from customers seeking compensation (Zander, 2014). The revenue that the company made, became an issue because the planes were burning a lot of fuel. Norwegian was also accused of abuse of labor by hiring inexpensive employees just to compensate their expenses in other areas. From reading this article I believe Norwegian had a big dream but didn’t plan their actions all the way through. Norwegian was making purchases that they really could not afford, and almost lost everything in the process.
