- Propose how you would ensure the HR strategy is in alignment with the business strategy.
Human Resource staffs are regularly not consulted when business owners and managers create business plans and strategies. Aligning HR with business strategies makes sense and helps ensure the company reaches its business objectives. The ultimate goal of HR is to support an organization through the management of human capital, which is the major subset of the broader organization`s strategy. Change is a given in today's competitive world, and the company that manages change best will most likely best it competitors. HR is able to predict how many people will be needed and with what skills to fulfill the strategic plan. Once the business strategy is determined by the organization, I will ensure the HR strategy is in alignment with the business strategy to support the chosen business strategy by attracting and mobilizing specific talent, building performance capability with core competencies, creating a healthy and successful organization by building effective leadership. This will ensure the smooth and effective operations of the business strategy to increase its competitive advantage over its competitors.
- Describe the HR job positions and the responsibilities listed for that HR department.
Ford Motors Company is the fifth largest company in the world and has a unique Human Resource department. It`s job positions includes: Occupational Health Nurse (Supplemental) that is needed in three different cities, its responsibilities are to process clinical records, medical leaves of absence. They conduct medical examinations and fitness test for duty. Ford Motor Company in three different cities also needs safety Engineers. Their responsibilities are to consult and advise safety topics, conduct frequent risk evaluations and serve as the emergency response coordinator. The safety Engineer should demonstrate flexibility in their work schedule and has the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, strong analytical and organizational skills, along with knowledge of state and national OSHA regulation. Ford Motor Company is also seeking HR Generalist, whose responsibility is to support HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, grievance resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary action. They will serve as the company lead for the Personnel Development, Performance Management, Policy Deployment and Compensation Planning processes. Coaching, counseling, and educating salaried operations partners on HR policies, processes, programs and strategies.
