Deborah Godwin-Starks, D. Min
Dr. Deborah Godwin-Starks has earned bachelor degrees in interpersonal and public communication from Purdue University West Lafayette, Indiana, masters of business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University Marian, Indiana, as well as a doctorate in ministry and Christian education from Cornerstone Christian Bible College International who board of regency is located in Arkansas.
Dr. Godwin-Starks is CEO and founder of Quasi Inc., Stellar Women on the Move, the parent company of WQSW-LP 100.5 FM, Northeast Indiana’s only twenty-four hour gospel radio station owned and operated by women in Fort Wayne. She has been involved in radio for over a decade and can be heard daily on WQSW-LP where she hosts Let’s Talk and Let’s Talk: the Music Notes, which are daily and weekly news magazines highlighting authors and artists in the gospel music industry. In addition, she is a continuing lecturer in the department of communication at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. Her church affiliation is with the Greater Mount Ararat Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ernest K. Starks.
Her honors include, The Fort Wayne Urban League’s 2008 entrepreneur of the year award, The NAACP’s woman of the year award in 2009, and INK newspaper’s Fifty People to Watch in Fort Wayne from 2007 through 2010. Former President George Bush listed her among the outstanding entrepreneurs in the State of Indiana in 2006. She is a member of Zonta Club of Fort Wayne, Phi Lambda Theta International Honor Society, Cosmopolites Business and Professional Women’s Club of Fort Wayne, The Gospel Music Workshop of America and the Gospel Music Announcer’s Guild of Chicago, Illinois, and Iota Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
