Through the business competitive in both Argentina and world, Arcor must face with the development of new competitive capabilities including conceptual framework, value-added chain in the food industry, technological capabilities and operations management systems, human resources, environmental management, corporate social responsibility to sustainability. The background has been characterized by the existence of fluctuations in the performance of the economy with a greater negative impact on the so-called emerging economies. The corporate agenda has changed completely by focusing on short term of the development methods to restore credibility and adapting the business model to new setting which is the combination of the expansion of the activity level, the growing volume of exports and improvement in the term of exchange gave rise to the most distinctive feature of economic growth. Since 1998, the Argentine economy has been affect by several negative impacts such as Russian crisis which is make economic environment worsened in the case of companies with investment or interests. Arcor can deal with this problem by realizing and understanding of what could happen and turned into a depression. Furthermore, it brought Arcor greater flexibility to adapt itself to the changes in the environment, from both a financial and a commercial perspective. Nonetheless, in terms of crisis as the one Argentina lived through at the end of nineties, where the horizon excessively narrowed, business mistakes in short-term decision making directly related to the everyday operation could irreversibly imply the forced sale or merger of the company. Consequently, apart from structural strength, the company relied on business capacities for day-to-day management. Arcor fixed this problem by speed of reaction in the time prior.
