Boston Consulting Group (BCG ) Matrix
Planning tool used as a graphical representation by company to decide which its products should be kept or sold or to be invested in. Its a 4 square matrix with 4 quadrants as Stars, Question Mark, Cash cows (being most important) and Dogs.
The first square matrix talks about "Stars" which consists of those products that generate high income but they consume a lot amount of company's cash. This means that more investment is required. The maggi products that come under this category are Maggie 2 min noodles , Maggie magic masala cubes which are very popular among  Maggie consumers.
The second square of matrix talks about "Question Mark" consisting of products that grows fast but consume large amount of resources, so they are to be analysed frequently because there might be a decline in sales of these products if these are not analysed. Products that come under this category are Maggie pazzta, Maggie hot heads etc.
The third Matrix, one of the important matrix "Cash Cows" consists of leading products in the market as they generate high returns even if there is low market share. These product should be taken advantage of as long as its possible. Products in this category are Maggie sauce, Cuppa noodles, Atta noodles etc very much popular among consumers.
The fourth and the final matrix is "Dogs" consist of products that do not generate much cash . In fact they generate cash traps. products are saturated under this category like Chicken noodles.
