Market Share: In 2008, the company had a share of between 20 and 25 percent of the state’s residential and small commercial solar photovoltaic market.
Product life cycle: Solar electric systems are in a growth stage of the product life cycle due to increase in sales volume, competition among rivals, and public awareness for the company.

Through the hiring and selection process, the brain trust at Namaste Solar was able to obtain a highly educated and empowered work force that is committed to the long-term success of the organization. These ideals are reinforced through the use of employee ownership incentives and equitable/democratic operations.
Functional
Namaste Solar has experienced a great deal of success by employing a decentralized approach to decision making. By empowering their employees to make decision on key operational functions, they have been able to streamline their decision-making/reaction process. As the firm continues to grow, they will have to review and amended their business model on a continual basis to insure that being overly democratic does not encumber future execution.
