Group project involves:
1) A written case report (up to 15 double-spaced pages) and a presentation (20 min followed by 10 min of Q&A period). Your project report and a hard copy of your presentation are due at the beginning of the class your group is presenting in.
2) Additional analyst’s report of another case presented in class. Analyst’s report is up to 6 double-spaced pages (including case-related questions). Bullet-point format is acceptable; but the analyst’s report should contain enough information to make your analysis clear. Your analyst’s report is due at the beginning of the class on the date additional case is presented.
Presentations schedule & due dates for analyst’s reports are posted on D2L.
Group Case Analysis Project is subject to peer evaluation (evaluation form provided by instructor).
Group project guidelines:
Groups should use relevant material from the case, and from course textbook (no additional research allowed), and can design and format both the case report and the presentation in any manner deemed appropriate. Soundness, logic, and accuracy of analysis are important. Proposed strategic options (alternatives) should be of strategic nature, based on clear decision criteria, and aimed to resolve the issues faced by the company under study. Recommendation should elaborate on one of alternatives (or on combination of max 2 alternatives), and include a feasible implementation plan.
While the content of your case report is critical, appearance on the day of your group case presentation will be part of the project grade as a professional appearance is expected. There is no limit on the number of slides but presentation time is restricted to 20 minutes, so aim at approximately 20 slides.
