There are two very good points of view in regards to Peter Thiel’s decision to invest in the legalized marijuana industry. Some people may go towards it being socially responsible and others view it at ethically objectionable. There are those kind of people that see a brighter future in the industry and are willing to invest now at an early stage. The real problem is that since marijuana is not legal in all of the United States it makes it a very critical decision to invest. Marijuana is looked at in two very different perspectives. Some look at it as beneficial in a health care manner because of how it can help those in pain and in need of it, while others view it as destructive because of how certain people in our population have misused it and made it into something people tend to fear and not want to have anything to do with.

In the New York Times article it is explained in detail how current legal marijuana business made over one hundred million dollars with just fifty nine deals in all of last year. Take into consideration that marijuana is only legal in specific states in the United States. I believe that marijuana will be looked as positive and negative depending on who is asked but ultimately I see it as an upcoming booming business in the near future.
