Executive Summary:
Coffee Chain is a cafeteria which sells different product types namely coffee, espresso, herbal tea, tea in 4 markets covering 20 states. Coffee Chain is engaged in selling 13 products under 4 product types. The report entails the understanding of the business and data of the coffee chain. The final outcome is to find the problems in the profitability of the products and the factors which contributed to the issues. This reporting and analysis is being done using the Tableau Software. We have used various functionalities offered by Tableau Software to gain insights for the coffee chain. We proceeded with high level analysis and then investigated further using methods like drill-down, filtering, roll-up, cluster analysis, hierarchy, calculated fields, sets, etc. We have calculated different ratios like Net Margin, Operating Margin, Expense/Sales, etc. to analyse the profitability of the chain stores. The report tells us about the products which are underperforming and the causes and factors for the under-performance.
