The primary aim was to see whether Apple is complying with the CSR policies after some current cases that were disclosed in the past few years. Apple has had negative publicity with in regards to its supplier code of ethics and has been questioned a lot on it. Before the audit could begin we had to look at the problems which were raised by certain television broadcasters. BBC issued a broadcast which reflected the gaps in the CSR activities amongst certain contractors for Apple.
After careful analysis it was determined that the gaps in the CSR activities raised major concerns for the employees working in the unsafe environment. After reviewing certain documents and with the help of some literatures on CSR policies we then conducted our audit which involved careful examination of the practices which were followed in Apple’s culture. The criteria of the audit consisted of examining the board and the company and examining whether they are following the CSR policies that are required to help employees. The results of the audit were surprising but a bit promising to the past. Apple is looking to focus on CSR policies and is making considerable efforts to minimize the risks of putting employees to harm.
