Introduction
Cultural Contexts (my culture context)
Live a typical American lifestyle, proud to be an American, with the privilege of speaking the Spanish and English language. A third-generation Mexican-American, of low- context culture. Raised by Mexican parents with strong moral values but no religion. As an adult converted to Christianity through life circumstances. Education was always a desire to attain but never encouraged by parents. Enjoy the best of both America culture and Tex-Mex culture. Values are rooted in honor and family, stem from upbringing of Mexican parents. Live an enriched life by the engagement of a multifaceted cultural heritage. Mostly relate to a collective group by tradition.
Three cultural Context approaches- One cultural context approach is the context approach which is the most straightforward approach because it relies on a single dimension: context. Each individial has the gift of unique thinking, influenced by their culture. With this in mind and in consideration to our business we understand the importance to understand the differences in interaction styles. I am aware of the high-context versus low-context culture scale and I will utilize this knowledge will depend after careful assesment of each interaction.
A second approach is the cluster approach which groups countries that share similar cultures.
Withib the clusters approach there is three influential sets of clusters. The first cluster is the Ronen and Shenkar clusters. These clusters are Anglo, Arabic, Far Eastern, Germanic, Latin American, Latin European, Near Eastern, and Nordic. The second set of clusters is called Globe clusters. The globe project identifies ten clusters five, five of which use identical labels as the Ronen and Shenkar clusters: Anglo. Germanic, Europe, Latin American, Latin Europe, and Norrdic Europe. In addition Globe has Confucian Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Southern Asia, and Sub-Saharan Asia, Eastern Eurpe Middle east, Southern Asian, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The third set of clusters is the Huntington civilizations, the huntington cluster divides the world into eight civilizations.
