Many people especially in Pakistan see people from the United States and somehow connect them, or think that they all are same. The fact that there are many differences between both of them, they may resemble one another in some way, yet are different from each other. I spent 16 years of my life in Pakistan and I can see many differences between these two countries. I would say that the most prime difference between these two countries is that they enjoy different kinds of celebrations and holidays, have dissimilar costume styles and incompatible cuisines.
First of all, Pakistan and the United States have different kinds of celebrations and holidays according to their cultures. The international new year is widely celebrated all over the world. In addition, there are many commonly observed celebrations in the Unites States, but some of them are not federal holidays. For example, one of the holiday honors the national day. Americans celebrate the declaration of Independence Day on July 4. It is a day of patriotism and picnics, a night of concerts and fireworks. Also they celebrate Christmas day on December 25. It includes decorating houses, putting up Christmas trees, and giving gifts etc. I personally like this day because everything just glistens more during this season, walking around and seeing all the pretty lights can make anyone smile. Also whether you are a student anticipating winter break or in the real world waiting for time off from work, vacation time is always welcomed. During these vacation times we can make sure that we remember those who are less fortunate. On the other hand, Pakistani celebrates the creation of Pakistan on August 14 as an Independence Day. Also the birthday of Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan nation is celebrated on December 25. Religious celebrations include Eid-ul-Fitar, festivities that signify the end of fasting during the month of Ramadan, and Eid-ul-Azha, joyous observance of Hajj (pilgrimage) to Makah. Celebrations on such days typically start with Morning Prayer, followed by visits to relatives and friends with family, the exchange of gifts and sweets, and invitations to feasts. And everyone is obliged to share food and money with the poor so that they can take part in the celebrations too.
Another disparity between Pakistan and America is their clothing, which is actually influenced by their culture. As I observed I think there is no national or traditional dress in America because America is culturally formed from people from all over the world, and people have their own cultural festivals and traditional costumes just as I have. If I had to pick, I would have to say jeans and t-shirts. May be you can say cowboy boots and hats or baseball caps are some of the common clothing. You can also see American tourists wearing Hawaiian shirts, cargo pants and tennis shoes with
