Different Kind of Products

Most of the customers have changed their products from volume based to customization. So, customers do expect smaller order quantities from different kind of products. They need to customize their products from each and every possible angle. Thus, company has a challenge of managing small order quantities as it hinders achieving efficiencies due to large number of style changes. Same customer demands products from fabrications such as knit, woven, chiffon, rib, modal, satin, thermal, pointel ..etc. Thus there is no similarity among the products of the same customer due to these changes. At the same time customer product categories also varies largely. Therefore, company have to now be skilled in producing any product including, bra tops, dresses, shorts, pants, briefs, molded and non molded bras, kaftan, bandana, hoodies, Tee shirts, jackets , hoodies, sleep wear, cami tops, tanks, kids wear. Further these product changes based on the usage as well. Though it is belonging to the same product category, there are huge variation in construction, measurement and fit based on usage type. For an example, a pant differs based on the fact that it is sport wear, casual wear, or sleepwear. Customers are expecting different product categories such as Sleep wear, performance / sports wear, shape wear, kids wear, Casual wear.. etc.

The concept of smaller order quantities is a challenge in meeting the order fulfillment, because the standard wastage factor of (3%) is not sufficient to handle embellishment, fabric, cutting and production damages. For an example if the order quantity is 200 Pcs, only 2 garments can be rejected at any level. But, practically it is difficult to manage.
