a. Option 3 would be the best option – designating a group of employees from each location to form tracks of social gaming teams. I feel like developing a team In each of the 4 offices around the world would bring diverse ideas to the social gaming team and it would provide an understanding for what the market really desires in this industry–creating a team of volunteers is a good idea, however being handpicked by upper management would increase morale of the team and it would encourage the individuals to work better, more efficiently and creatively since they have to meet management's expectations.
2) Are there any "rules" about maximizing creative output and coordinating efforts that can be derived from your understanding of the differentiation-integration concepts of this course?
a. Since every office is focused on a different aspect of the gaming industry it really separates and differentiates the tasks handled by every team. However if there is less differentiation and more integration it allows team members from each of the 4 offices to have an input in different departments of the company without having to focus on just one. This would allow for more creativity amongst the team and the production of the company overall.
