Technology has become a huge part of not only fortune 500 companies but also the small businesses as well. These new technologies have made the life as a supervisor easier in ways that decades ago would have seemed impossible. Some of these new technologies in the past 20 years include e-mail, social media sites, and other Collaboration software’s. These technologies have made the world of advertisement, connecting with employees, and even other business much easier. Instead of the need to travel to other businesses to display a product or to attempt to see what other entrepreneurs have to offer, in many ways it is only a mouse clicks away. This proposal will compare the benefits of using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access and will also explain how the use of Collaboration software can assist a company’s administrative production.
There is so much Collaboration software out in the market that company’s can use for their business. Smith (2010), “Collaboration software allows employees to share files and information, communicate with each other and work jointly in real time has become a must have element of their information infrastructure for a growing number of companies” (2). This software can help businesses work smarter and faster. It can also save travel stress and expenses by enabling two or more persons to get on the same page, even when they are not in the same location. The list of collaboration functionality is endless.
