SUBJECT: Employment Law Compliance Plan for Landslide Limousines
Bradley Stonefield is excited about starting a limousine company in Austin, Texas. Bradley has decided to use Atwood and Allen Consulting for his business needs. Atwood and Allen Consulting will work with Bradley Stonefield to develop an Employment Law Compliance Plan for Landslide Limousines. The Employment Law Compliance Plan will have to coincide with the requirements are for Texas employment laws and meet the needs of the 25 employees Bradley Stonefield would like to employ.
Texas Employment Laws
The Americans with Disabilities Act will ensure that the employees with disabilities will not be discriminated against because they have a disability. Accommodations will have to be made so that the job duties are not jeopardized. Some accommodations that will have to be made include individuals that suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome, vision issues, and access to the building.
The Equal Pay Act will ensure that equal pay will be given to men and women. Conflict does not need to arise because of the possibility that men were making more money than women. The employees will also have access to the company’s pay scale information so everyone is seeing the same figures.
The Immigration Reform and Control Act involves not hiring an employee if they are not legally authorized to work in the United States. The verification process is important to because the business could be fined for not complying with the law.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 will serve to protect employees from getting discriminated against due to their race, religion, national origin and gender. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 will help support employees who might decide to apply for a different job within the company.
