Introduction
Businesses around the world have been thriving and using different types of strategies for their companies. One of the strategies commonly used is Commercialization, which the definition is the process of when a new product/service is introduced into the market. There are times that when a new product is introduced to the market, it becomes successful. But there are also times that it becomes a failure. Here are some of the reasons why commercialization can become a disaster when used; failure to understand consumer needs. This is when the producer fails to create a product that is what the wants of customers and would benefit them.[a][b][c][d][e][f][g][h][i][j][k][l][m][n]
Sri Lanka Tea (Dilmah Tea) had a hard time competing with multinational companies. That is why Fernando - the owner decided to sell his product to big companies like Lipton and Tetley companies. After a partnership with one of the largest retailers in Australia, Fernando decided to launch his Sri Lanka tea to Dilmah tea as an independent brand. Early 2000's Fernando introduced Dilmah T-bar, there you can enjoy the variety of Tea that is being produced by Dilmah, and you can enjoy the environment.[o][p][q][r]
UCC coffee commercialized so that they could make a change in the market for their consumers. They made the world's first canned coffee in the market "UCC Coffee with Milk" in April 1969, it became very popular in Asia.
Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. Drinking coffee became a staple in the lives of some people because drinking coffee keeps them awake.
In the Philippines, Starbucks is widely known for quality coffee and further became one of the most popular coffee chains. They also commercialize their premium products in the market. They created a product line that consumers can avail in the supermarket, that way they can reach their customers who don't have the time to go in their retail store.[s][t][u]
