Introduction
During last few decided there was significant development took place in human resource management. The concept of personnel management which mostly involved with operational aspect of human resources such as recruitment, training has been evolved in to human resources management aspect which provide a strategic aspect to the human resource management. The strategic human resource management consider the long term objective of the organization and how the human resources function can help the organization to recruit, train, motivate, and retain the most important human resource in the organization (Armstrong 2009). Parallel to the evolvement of the concept of human resources management the information technology and information system also experienced a significant improvement (Nicholas C Human Resource Information System topher and Kim (2012). The development of information technology and information system has been absorbed by the contemporary strategic human resources management approach and it has created a significance for human resource information system (Kovach, Kenneth & Cathcart (1999).This assignment discuss the impact of it and the human resources information system to the organizational effectiveness. In modern organizational set up the human resources information system has been utilized as an embed approach to the orgnziazation`s enterprise resource planning system (ERP). The Oxy the chosen organization for this study also uses the Human resource information system as a part of its ERP. IT and Human resource information system contribute significantly to the organization to achieve organization effectiveness and subsequently it contribute to improve the organizational performance.
