ey managerial strengths and weaknesses in the organization. Explain the areas in the organization that need the most work or have the most room for improvement, focusing particularly on issues in the organization that we have touched on during the course. Try to keep your list of problems manageable. Mention only those for which you have clear and solid recommendations.
Recommendations for improving managerial performance. Using the principles and concepts covered in the course, suggest a set of recommendations for your organization to solve their key problems and to improve their managerial performance more generally. For each recommendation, be sure to 1) describe clearly the specifics of your recommendation, and 2) the psychological concept or theory that justifies this recommendation and why. There is no specific requirement for the total number of recommendations. A good starting point, however, would be to include one recommendation based on each class (not including Week 10 unless you would like to focus on the readings for that week).
Issue: The decision of municipal bonds credit rating is done in a credit meeting. The decision method is majority voting with equal weight of the attendees after listening to the credit analysis presentation. Two issues here: 1) If the vote is done with the public finance team, people will follow the chief person's opinion and seldom oppose that. The chief person is the head of the department and acts like the king. 2) Every city is like the regime of the regional office and competition exists. For example, NY office wants to degrade Detroit however Chicago office wants to maintain it since Detroit is covered in Chicago office. Then Chicago office would call more analysts in the credit meeting to win. And NY office will call more NY office analysts to join in order to win. This is not scientific approach.
Recommendation: Use a standard scoring system during the decision making.
