There is a common saying within the sales circle that sales people will do ANYTHING to achieve a sale. Where is the ethics here? Is profit and making money the sole reason to draw sales? My personal opinion is an obvious NO!
A sales person must add value to the selling process.
Whenever we sell, we need to have three mindsets to live by. Not to get the sale, not to make profits and not to grow our business. Those are all secondary objectives.
Our primary objectives will be:
(1) to help our buyers solve their problems,
(2) we must help buyers prevent their problems from occurring, and
(3) we must help buyers improve their current situation.
If we carry this mindset of helping our customers, we will naturally be more professional in the sense that we are able to improve the well-being of others rather than merely striving to make a quick buck. Sales is much more noble than just making the sale.
