MOHAMMAD ALI JINNAH:
ACHIEVEMENTS:
1. Founder of Islamic republic of Pakistan.
2. Leader of the Muslim league.
3. First governor general of Pakistan.
TRIATS AND STYLE:
• Mhd. Ali Jinnah has got a very democratic and visionary leadership style.
He had a vision and he knew how to achieve it.
• TRIATS:
Clarity regarding goal, and aim: MA Jinnah was very clear about his goals as he declared Pakistan as the goal of Muslims of India. His aim was to establish his nations own sovereign homeland.
Clear vision: Once a reporter asked him is Muslims are a nation or not, at this he said that we are a nation with our own distinctive culture and civilization, language and literature, art and architecture ………….. In short we have a distinctive outlook on life and of life. By all canons of international law we are a nation.
Inspiration: He inspired the masses, to motivate them and to mobilize them in support of the vision that he had for Muslims of India.
Flexibility (compromise and large heartedness): Quaid-e-Azam did that for Pakistan even though he handed over a “month eaten, truncated Pakistan” which he accepted as something is better than nothing.
He was a quintessential fighter, who after all the hardships and struggles may be down but never out. He got what he aimed for, a free state for Muslims “Pakistan”.
General Zia ul-haq:
ACHIEVEMENTS:
i. General Mohammad Zia ul-haq was the chief of army staff.
ii. He was the one who enforced martial law for the third time in the history of Pakistan.
iii. He ruled as a military dictator of the country for 11 years the longest till date.
TRIATS AND STYLE:
He had an authoritarian as well as contingency leadership style.
He is task oriented with some transactional leadership quality.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto:
ACHIEVEMENT:
• He was the prime minister of Pakistan.
• Started nuclear program.
• Introduced national identity card system.
• Created Islamic summit uniting all the Muslim states.
• He brought back 90,000 prisoners of war from India.
