I have been to a hookah lounge called Café O a good amount of times. It’s an outdoor setting that serves food, beverage and hookah. Sitting and actually observing the lounge, I realized the atmosphere is positive and well organized. The employees become your friend and treat you with respect.

Café O is very people oriented because they are concerned in the way they treat customers. They’re always on top of their work and put the effort into getting to know people; especially if you are a regular customer to them. They know how to communicate with customers and serve them very well. It shows the amount of concern they have and it’s all based on customer demand. They appreciate you for being a loyal customer of theirs.

This lounge is a strong culture because they accept core values, which increases their commitment to their job. There aren’t set rules in which they are required to perform a certain way, which makes their job more enjoyable. It brings in loyalty, cohesiveness and organizational dedication. Since Café O is a strong culture, there is less need for management concern in developing rules and regulations to guide their employee behavior. Café O tends to hire diversified employees, so it came to my realization that the employees collaborate very well regardless of their demographic background, which demonstrates positive climate of diversity. This was evident to me even when I first started going to Café O, because you can judge a place just by walking in and observing the type of customers that come and the way the employees serve and treat you.

The founders of Café O like to select employees who know how to communicate with customers, express friendliness and who will blend in very well with their expectations and with coworkers. They want employees whose values are going to be a good portion of the organization. Café O’s motivation is to always keep their focus on customer demand. Loyal
