The background of company
The Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar restaurant is a kind of restaurant provide pork-free food and beverages on Malaysian and Indian based. They are started their business as a food stall in a coffee shop since 1974. With the passage of time, Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar has become a restaurant with their signature Nasi Kandar which start from Penang as well as for other “mamak” delights. They are providing various types of hot and spicy dishes with the Nasi Kandar and sip on a hot cup of “Teh Tarik”. Their operation hour is 24 hours. They are providing free wifi, delivery service available within the area nearby, and also providing the smoking area for smokers.

The Original Penang Kayu Nasi Kandar restaurant in Penang is in trouble with the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry for the second time within three days because of they are overcharging patrons.
The restaurant had received a visit from Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry, KPDNKK after another customer was charged a whopping RM20.00 for 5 stalks of okra (lady's fingers). In explanation for the RM20 okras, restaurant manager Burhan Muhamad argued that it was the result from the "human error", which is, the cashier accidentally typed in RM4.00 for each okra instead of RM0.40.
