Recruitment and Selection Strategies

Starting a business has many challenges every entrepreneur must face. Landslide Limousine has established its strategic pans, learned the business laws associated with small businesses, created the benefits it needs to keep employees happy, created an evaluation system that evaluate employees and help keep them motivated, and keeping the employees trained and develop necessary skills to be competent at their job. There is still one factor necessary and critical: selecting the right employee for the job. There are many things that must be taken into consideration when recruiting and selecting employees. Within this strategy we will discuss many attribute that must be considered when selecting a new recruit such as acts and laws specific to Texas as well as non-state specific laws and personality features of your prospective employee.

Recruitment and selection laws.

Recruitment and selection of employees is crucial to small businesses that are growing and in need of good employees. The right employee will help Landslide Limousine flourish and build a positive relationship with customers, however the wrong employee can cause negative effects on the company and leave customers feeling dissatisfied with Landslide Limousine. Recruiting employees seems very direct, however the government has in place laws and acts that will guide the recruitment development, protect the employer, and the prospective employee. Without the understanding of these laws can put Landslide Limousine in financial danger.

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs enforces the Affirmative Actions laws. This authorizes the federal government to mandate that all business give all people without any regard to sex, race, disability, or nationality have an equal opportunity to apply for a job. If Landslide Limousine acquires a government contract, Landslide Limousine will have more protocols to follow, however that will be addressed if a government contract arises.

Child Labor laws are also in motion during the recruitment process as well. The Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor enforce all Child Labor laws, which decree that Landslide Limousine can only hire minors at a certain age and that minors at specific ages can only work at and within certain hours, and Landslide Limousine must provide safe work environments for persons under the age of 18.
