Introduction : Training & Development is a core task of organization. The primary objective of training & development is to ensure the availability of skilled personnel to achieve the goals of organization. Training & development as a fundamental aspect of Human Recourse Development, has a strategic position which directly contributes to organizational performance (Niazi, 2011).
The scope of HR training is not only limited to individual achievement of workers but towards social aspects too. In other words, we can say that HR training not only helps to employees to satisfy their personal goal such as promotion but also helpful the organization to enhance human efficiency to achieve market share. It also accommodating the organization to be ethical and socially responsible to the needs & challenges of society as well.
Meaning of Training & Development :
According to Armstrong “Training is the systematic modification of behaviour through learning which occurs as a result of education, instruction, development and planned experience.”
Kremple & Pace define Training and Development as managing knowledge to develop the organization’s culture, to enhance individual performance and to strengthen the organization’s capability.
So, Training & development is a process to enhance capability of employees through which organization can modify their skills & ability to achieve corporate goals. It is a systematic way of altering behavior to improve the employee’s performance
Need of Study : The aim of this study is to find out the impact of HR Training is beneficial to organization. This paper sought to analyze the impact of employee training and development on the performance of the organization.
There is a positive link between training and performance of employee as the training will positively impact on employee’s competency in the organization which will results into an achievement of organizational goals.
Organizational performance is depends on efficiency of HR as trained HR with KSA (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) are satisfied with their job which helps to them to achieve their personal & organization as well and will enhance performance of organization.
Past studies proves the connection between training & development tasks and various measures of organizational performance (Delery & Doty, 1996).
Research Methodology : This conceptual study is based on secondary data which have been collected through research articles from journals, focus group transcript, newspapers, magazines from library and websites.
Literature Review : Corporate makes huge investment in human resource capital as the HR performance will ultimately increase the organizational performance. They also give importance to training & development as a prime function of HRM as it increase the efficiency & effectiveness of both HR and the organization to compete with challenges of rapidly changing world. It is important to enhance the capability & competitiveness of workforce at all level of management.
